  Civility!

(0 A3 August 2019) Cotillion2Dancers.jpgOld fashioned? Yes! Contemporary? Yes! Fun? Yes! Beneficial? Oh yes! In today's wild-swinging, twitter-fed culture do we need civility? Oh yes. In my opinion, social graces should be taught in the home and enhanced with classes like ballroom dance, social & dining etiquette for teens and tweens, "to empower students with the tools to carry themselves with poise and present themselves with confidence in various social settings, such as: school dances, classes, clubs, sports teams and award banquets, college and career interviews, internships, business luncheons and dinners, dates, parties, and weddings, etc." Find out more about a FREE Cotillion Class for Teens & Tweens!

Please share our newsletter with new friends so they won't miss a few tidbits of wisdom from our author contributors, and as always our many fun events!

Have a wonderful weekend with family and friends!  Parmalee

You Are Not the Season You're In

(0 A September 2019) ChristyWright.jpgYou Are Not the Season You're In

Christy Wright

"So often we hold ourselves to such a high standard (one we make up in our head, by the way), and even when our season of life changes, those standards stay the same.

Regardless of our new situation, we still expect ourselves to reach that same impossible, high standard we originally set-and when we don't, we think we're a failure. The truth is, you'll go through good seasons and bad seasons (and everything in between), but those seasons don't define who you are or who you'll always be.

If you're a mom with toddlers at home and you can't seem to keep your house clean, that doesn't make you a messy mom.

If you used to run five miles a day but now you care for your aging mother full time, that doesn't make you lazy.

If you can't seem to get your business off the ground because your newborn keeps you from getting more than two hours of sleep, that doesn't mean you'll never launch your business.

Don't miss the importance of seasons-they're biblical, actually.

Give yourself grace, adjust your standards, and adapt to the season you're in. We'll all be better for it."
